playoffs

Last night, was the game of Yankees vs Tampa Bay and Boston vs Oriols, both were very important games, because boston and tampa were tied in second place and just first and second place can pass to the playoffs, so both were forced to win.

Both games were at the same hour, and boston vs oriols was very hard, they very few careers of both teams, at the 9th inning they were 3-2 in favor of boston, and oriols were closing the inning, and they started with a hit, and then the player went to second base, after that there was a hit and put the game and that make a player in third and second, after that, a fly was made, and the boston player didnt catch the ball, so both players score, and boston lost the game, so they depend of a victory of Yankees, that was winning 7-0 to tampa, but in the last two innings, tampa score 7 careers, and that make the game went to extra innings, so in the 12 inning Evan Longoria, that has been the player of the game with Mark Teixeira, with grand slams, and with many careers in their favor, and in that inning Evan Longoria made a solo Home-run and left Boston out of the playoffs, and Tampa passed with Yankees.

One of the teams that is in a very good way, and a candidate to the World Series, is Phillies that since 2004 they havent won more than 100 games in a league, and now they did it.

This playoffs are very interesting and hard for everyone, so watch the games, and enjoy them

baseball in my family.

for me, baseball is very important, because since little, my brothers, my father and even my mother practiced this sport, i was the only one that chose soccer, instead of baseball but i also practice baseball and i like to watch it.

My big brother went to Williamsport in 1998 and they lost in the semifinals, buy it was a great goal that was very important to Mexico. My other brother also went to Williamsport in 2001 but they didnt win any game, but it still was a good participation, my dad was the manager of the team of my fbig brother, and he took them to Williamsport. My mom practiced softball and she was a very good baserunning player.

Now my dad, my brothers and me, have a softball team and every week we play. That`s why I like baseball cards collecting, because is a hobby that means a lot to me, and to everyone in my family, we do not collect them, but in the past we did, now we just enjoy baseball and soccer a lot, and practice those sports with passion and a lot of feeling.

I dont know why some people say that baseball is boring, because if you watch a game it is very interesting and with a lot of good plays, and even more interesting if you practice it because it feels very good when yoy are batting and make some outs.

Baseball cards, tradition

In the United States, baseball cards collecting is a long and popular tradition for people of every age. Baseball cards are made of a type of paper stock, it contains a baseball player or sometimes a team logo, whent there´s a player, it comes batting,  pitching, running, catching, or maybe just smiling to the camera. There are different types of cards, some are just the player playing normally, and sometimes it comes a funny card, with a player with a big head or some things like that.

These cards are most common in places like Canada, Cuba, Puerto Rico,US, Republica dominicana etc. because in those countries they practice a lot of baseball, in Mexico its not so common, but people who like baseball can buy those cards in the US.

When I was during 7 to 12 years, I liked to see my brother´s baseball cards collection, and there were some card, in which I laugh a lot, because of the heads or of the body that was funny because of the changed body.

There are also some cards that are expensive because they are gold cards and they are made since 1980´s. These cards have just the face of the player smiling to the camera, is not playing or running or batting.

At the back of all cards, there comes a specific detail about the player, sometimes its hits, or a record that he have, or the teams he have been playing.

I love this hobby and if I live at the US I would have a big collection about this cards, and more about the New York Yankees.

Here are some pictures of some baseball cards about yankee players and a mets player and a giants player. This cards are very expensive, because those players are future hall of fame. Derek Jeter is one of the best players yankees have ever had, months ago, he did his 3000 career hit, and that, just 28 players have done it. It is a very valiable score that people should see. He is one of the few people that have given so many memories to yankees, and many wins and trophies. Other player that is on those pictures is Alex Rodriguez, well known as A-Rod, he wasnt a yankee until 4 years ago, that yankees bought him, he is a homerun player, he is one of the most scary batter that I've ever seen in my life, it is very difficult to strikeout him. Mark Teixeira is other player, one of my favorites, that a year and a half ago, yankees bought him, because they needed a first baseman. He always bat very good when yankees is in trouble and he is a very effective player. Mariano Rivera, is the best closer pitcher in the history,  he have been with yankees all his life, and he always win the games he pitch, just some games have been lost.
Tim Lincecum is a giant starter pitcher, he is my favorite pitcher, he is very young and he already have been part of the giants history, pitching in the world series.
Jose Reyes is the last picture I put, he is my bother's favorite player, and he really likes the way he plays and bat.

Baseball card collecting, is a very interesting hobby, that is for huge baseball fans. Since I was little, I was just interested in soccer, but my brothers were soccer and baseball fans, and I always watch them buying baseball cards, and collecting them, they have like 200 baseball cards, and it is very funny to see them and know more about baseball, and baseball players.

Baseball cards, have a huge trayectory, since 1800's that they have been existing. Nowadays, people is not so interesed in collecting cards, they preffer to sell them, or just, throw them away, like my brother did. After some time of collecting cards, you get tired of the same and you stop collecting cards.

In a baseball card package, they come around 8 to 10 cards, and they cost around 5 dollars, the normal cards. There exist packages that come like 100 cards, and they cost like 25 dollars. Sometimes in the package can come a gold card, that is more valious than others.

In each card, they show a picture of the player, batting, or catching the ball, and at the back, you can read some information about them.
